Law360, a leading online legal newswire, is looking for an experienced financial reporter to join our expanding London news bureau. You will provide news and insight into a rapidly changing financial legal landscape amid Brexit transitions and tightening compliance standards. 

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of experienced journalists at Law360 in its London bureau, the first international addition to Law360’s network of US bureaus.

Coverage areas will range from litigation and enforcement in the UK and the EU to regulatory shifts and new trends in financial technology. Prior experience covering the law is not necessary, although applicants are asked to demonstrate experience in covering financial news at competitive levels and familiarity with UK and EU regulatory frameworks. Excellent news judgment and analytical skills also are required to excel in this position.

The senior reporter for financial services will lead coverage and analysis on the top issues of the day, cultivating sources among lawyers, regulators and policymakers to break news, provide insight and anticipate trends.

What we need from you:

  • Undergraduate degree in journalism or related field
  • Accomplished and paid full-time reporting experience
  • Demonstrated reporting, writing and analytical skills
  • Interest in business or legal news
  • Experience in and commitment to contact-driven journalism
