Macquarie, Manager - Media Relations (Edinburgh)
Take ownership and accountability of all media matters for our Green Investment Group (GIG) business.
You will be based in Edinburgh, travelling to London ~2 days each fortnight. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Corporate Communications and Investor Relations team (CCIR) and focus on activity in Europe as well as have a global overview.
You will engage with media to maximise their understanding of GIG and Macquarie and to enable GIG and Macquarie to understand the expectations of the media.
You will report to the Regional Head of Corporate Communications, EMEA and be responsible for managing and developing all key relationships with journalists working in the areas of renewable energy and green issues, as well as planning and executing news-led campaigns in the area of green investment. You will work with colleagues in other regions whilst acting as the subject matter expert on ‘green’ media for us.
You will be an experienced media professional and have demonstrated experience in a similar role from within a similar in-house role, PR agency or journalism background.
Experience in either renewable energy/energy or financial media sectors is desirable. Your high level of enthusiasm and appetite to learn, as well as your exceptional communication and judgement skills will see you flourish in this role.

This role is in the Green Investment Group (part of the Macquarie Capital part of the business).
