The Times and The Sunday Times are looking for an SEO Editor to lead an editorial team tasked with increasing readership and subscriptions and growing the papers' readership through search traffic.

Based in two busy newsrooms, the role requires a sound understanding of editorial workflows as well as exceptional knowledge of search optimisation for news content

 Day to day, you will be explaining and communicating search insights, ensuring the website is technically optimised for crawlers and commissioning articles that will be perfectly crafted to answer The Times and The Sunday Times readers' queries.

Key skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of SEO for publishers (on-page and technical)
  • Experience in editing content
  • Excellent communicator

About the digital team:

The digital development and strategy department includes data journalists, newsroom developers, multimedia journalists, interactive news producers and audience development experts. These teams find and tell stories on our digital platforms in the most appropriate formats and empower the newsroom to present stories in new and innovative ways.
