We are looking for someone at senior/chief reporter level who is looking to take the next step in their career and join Pulse’s multi-award winning news team.
Pulse is the pre-eminent magazine for GPs, and our investigations and news reporting are regularly featured in the national press and radio.
The candidate we are looking for will have a proven track record in finding exclusive news stories with a real instinct for what makes great news. They will have an interest in investigations, spending weeks to months on a single story. Their writing will require little to no editing.
The deputy news editor role will also feature a significant element of news editing. Experience in news editing is not essential, but a willingness to step up and take on news editing responsibilities is vital.
Pulse is one of the most respected B2B magazines in the UK, and the news team has won the BSME team of the year award three years running, as well as numerous awards for the publication as a whole. Our exclusives are a regular source of stories for the national media.
- Three years’ experience of news reporting;
- A proven track record of breaking exclusive stories;
