Fast Track, Business Researcher & Writer
Oxford-based Fast Track is seeking to recruit two talented researchers who can help us find the next BrewDog, Depop, and Fever-Tree. The role involves identifying young entrepreneurs behind Britain’s fastest-growing private companies, interviewing them and writing their company profile published in one of our seven annual league table supplements in The Sunday Times.
Candidates will ideally have one or more of the following, and could be bright graduates with recent experience gained from their course and/or paid internships, including: research experience in financial journalism, PR or in a professional services firm; experience writing for corporate clients; some accountancy knowledge or training; experience of customer account handling.
- Research & analysis: identify and research private and PE/VC-backed companies for our league tables of Britain’s top performing private companies, ranging from the fastest-growing to the biggest; including our tech-focused Tech Track 100, Ones to Watch and Disruptors to Watch
- Business intelligence & data capturing: help find new sources to identify the UK’s best emerging private companies, and diligently capture company financials on our database
- Interviewing: conduct telephone and face-to-face interviews on company visits with founders and entrepreneurs
- Writing: help produce our extensive written content, including company profiles to be published in The Sunday Times, profiles of guests at our networking dinners and our social media.

Based in Central Oxford with 26 staff, we publish seven annual league table supplements with The Sunday Times, ranking the fastest-growing to the biggest private companies.
