Background

Hearst Made is Hearst’s Content Marketing Agency. It was launched in June 2015, to service ASDA’s content account.

This account has grown exponentially, delivering not only print and digital content, but also through-the-line photography and TV advertising. Alongside the ASDA account sits O2 and P&G. These clients are supplemented with project work across other brands.

As a global publishing powerhouse, Hearst is in a great position to win more commercial content clients and there’s a huge appetite within the business to grow Hearst Made exponentially in 2019.

Crucial to this growth, is how we present ourselves to the market – agencies, current and potential new clients. At a practical level, we want our presentations, pitches and content assets to bring alive the credibility and excellence of our strategic and creative thinking. To this end we’re recruiting a Designer to help us deliver to this objective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design new business and pitch decks that ensure HM quality look and feel.
  • Work on existing projects where support is needed (Asda, O2, P&G etc).
  • Support new business development - from asset creation, to visuals, to marcomms look and feel.
  • Advise on Social media campaigns and create posts, gifs, etc.


The Person

  • InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and repro knowledge
  • Ability to deliver creative presentations
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Collaboration and team participation
  • Familiarity with marketing principles
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Fully adaptable - able to design across all titles on all multi-platform offerings
  • Ability to build close working relationships with the entire team and completely understand the vision of each brand
  • Enthusiasm and endless supply of new ideas
  • A passionate approach to work
  • The ability to think creatively and proactively
  • A strong eye for detail
  • The ability to be self-motivated
