About you:

  • Experienced translator from Urdu to English
  • Ability to work accurately and present reports in a timely fashion
  • Organised, with a logical approach to managing tasks
  • Capacity to be clear and communicative
  • Proactive – can spot potential issues and address them before they become problems
  • Capability to learn quickly
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and a natural curiosity are an advantage
  • Ability to work independently or with the team


Job purpose:

You will support the Content and Syndication Teams by auditing content used by partners on English and non-English language websites. The role also involves assisting other team members in providing feeds and client support and may require weekend and out-of-hours working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor ESI content on partner sites
  • Assess the accuracy of the translation of articles
  • Clearly report results
  • Liaise with Consultant Editors over errors and anomalies to maintain the quality of translation
  • Assist with monitoring the reliability and quality of content feeds
  • Assist with processing content for feeds to clients


Skills and experience:

  • Completely fluent in English and one or more relevant languages (Urdu)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks with accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience of problem solving
  • Experience of presenting detailed data in a clear, succinct format, while highlighting the key points
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Experience of interaction with customers is a benefit
  • Confident but diplomatic in communicating errors to Consultant Editors of partner sites
