Your role:

This role is based in The Sun / Sun Features team and we are looking for someone to inspire more readers to engage, choose and buy our papers and digital products every day. We will achieve this by putting the reader at the heart of everything we do.

Through our strategies, creativity, and innovation we will continue to maintain the relevance and value of The Sun on all platforms. We relentlessly seek to lead the market, delivering the most engaging and informative content available.

Day to day you will:

Provide outstanding fashion ideas, stories, shoots and exclusives. You will need to be able to produce strong copy under daily deadline pressures and be a confident stylist on real life, celebrity and fashion shoots. The Sun’s standards are extremely high and you’ll need to be confident that you can achieve them.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • As well as having a way with words and a good sense of style, you’ll be self-motivated, brimming with enthusiasm and full of ideas. Ideally, you will have experience on a magazine or newspaper 
  • You will have previous experience as a fashion assistant gained in either a newspaper or magazine with good contacts with fashion PRs, photographers, hair and make-up artists, model agents.
  • Have the ability to write accurate copy to tight deadlines and direct, book and style shoots
  • Ideally you have a wide knowledge of current affairs and trends through reading various titles as well as utilising other media platforms daily
  • You need to be fully aware of potential legal issues and always act in accordance with the PCC Code of Conduct
  • You’ll be keen to adapt to digital platforms for The Sun and willing to work flexible hours when needed
  • A passion and strong interest in fashion, current affairs and popular culture is required combined with an enthusiastic and driven attitude.
  • You will be able to produce high quality copy quickly and have the ability to work under the pressure of tight and frequent deadlines
  • Highly organised and a good attention to detail is essential along the ability to work independently and remain calm
