SquareMeal, Managing Editor

SquareMeal – the UK’s leading independent restaurant, venues and events guide – is looking for an experienced journalist to join the team as Managing Editor.

As Managing Editor you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the editorial team, producing digital content for the SquareMeal website and three print guides per year.

You will need to have an excellent understanding of SEO and creating content for a digital platform. Experience in publishing and print would be an advantage.

An interest in the UK restaurant scene, food and events is a must as you will be covering all aspects of dining out, conference and event planning, private dining and weddings.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Coordination of all content released on the website
• Coordination of the printed guides schedule
• News articles
• SEO copy for directory listings
• Gateway page SEO copy
• Managing and coordinating newsletters
• Competitions
• Advertorials/promotions
• Manage team and freelance budget
• Direct line management of 2-4 employees
