Mergermarket and Dealreporter, published by Acuris, are looking to hire a fulltime Head of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) coverage. The post will be based out of our Dubai office.

The person chosen will be expected to provide exclusive content on mergers and acquisitions and corporate financial strategy, including via covering significant business events and conferences. They will also coordinate the regional reporting team.

The right candidate will be hungry to produce exclusive stories on a regular basis by interviewing decision makers, CEOs, bankers, fund managers and other sources for Mergermarket/Dealreporter, working closely with our sister products - particularly Debtwire and Inframation News.

The person appointed will report to Elaine Green, Editor EMEA Bureaus, but will work also closely with the other product teams active in the region.

Whilst primarily reporting on M&A, a key part of the successful candidate’s role will be to facilitate good communication and collaborative content between all products, including those covering fixed income events.

The candidate will have excellent English speaking and writing skills, and bring good reporting experience from another financial news service, newspaper or online publication to the table. Fluency in another language such as French or Arabic would also be desirable.

The person should be willing to travel to key events the wider MENA region and beyond, and be eligible to work in the UAE.
