BMI Publishing seeks B2B journalist

We are seeking a talented, motivated and switched-on individual to join BMI Publishing’s award-winning editorial team as a journalist, with scope for progression within the company.

The ideal candidate will have one or two years’ experience in B2B writing and reporting and be a competent user of Indesign, Wordpress and social media.

Knowledge of the hospitality, business travel and technology industries would be advantageous, but a willingness to get to grips with these subjects, make new contacts and become a sector expert is also important.

Candidates must have an eye for detail, be excellent communicators, natural multi-taskers and have great time management and top organisational qualities.

We have a diverse portfolio of travel trade magazines, supplements, websites and events and the successful candidate can, initially, expect to be working across all of them – with the potential to develop a more specialist role in the future.

You will be based mainly in our office in Croydon but would need to be available – and keen – to attend both regular daytime and evening events, and the occasional overseas conference, exhibition and trade show.

Responsibilities will include:

  • news writing
  • feature writing
  • interviewing industry personnel
  • devising new content ideas
  • occasional advertorials
  • uploading content
  • proofing & sub-editing
  • representing the company at various events
