Job description
The Special Projects Editor is responsible for managing and contributing content [whether open/closed articles; blogs; white papers; research; videos or roundtables] for the leading broker trade title Insurance Age that involve a sponsor.
This includes the day-to-day management of these commercial projects [whether in printed editions or online] to ensure the highest quality content is produced to agreed deadlines.
This involves liaising with sales and the relevant brand editors to generate informative and interesting topics that do not duplicate material that has appeared recently or in the near future.
The Special Projects Editor is also be expected – where needed - to chair brand extension events such as roundtables, briefings and conference sessions; and play an active part in meetings with prospective commercial clients; where they will be asked to explain the options available to them and come up with ideas to help them promote their messages in a subtle, unpushy and unsalesy fashion.
Qualifications
- B2B journalism experience would be useful
- Ability to liaise with sales teams and sponsors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Ability to create & maintain business relationships at all levels
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
