Job Details
Are you a driven and ambitious financial journalist? Are you a creative thinker with excellent networking skills and the ability to travel frequently? We have an incredible opportunity for an Editor to lead the coverage of the Middle East for a well-established B2B title focussing on the global banking and finance industry. The successful candidate will develop unique content and set the agenda across all media platforms.
Key duties:
- Lead editorial coverage for the Middle East including breaking news, analysis, features and opinion pieces
- Create and maintain solid relationships with key industry figures across the region
- Travel frequently to the Middle East and set agendas for conferences
- Deliver live interviews, host panel discussions and keynote interviews at events
- Work with wider editorial team to share ideas and maximise readership through social media
Experience / skills required:
- Solid proven experience in finance journalism is a must
- Experience of setting news agenda is required
- Track record of writing high-quality and insightful copy with a unique angle
- Experience interviewing high profile stakeholders in the financial industry
- Experience of chairing panels and conducting live interviews at events
- A proactive, enthusiastic and meticulous approach to work, with the ability to work independently
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently and at short notice
