The Wall Street Journal is seeking a reporter to cover banking, with a focus on JPMorgan Chase & Co.

With more than $2.5 trillion in assets, JPMorgan is the largest bank in the U.S. James Dimon, its CEO, is among the most influential business leaders in America. The bank -- a retail banking powerhouse with more than 5,000 branches -- serves more than half of all U.S. households.

t's also a major player on Wall Street. Big banks like JPMorgan took a beating during the financial crisis but have roared back to life in the decade since, notching record profits. They're sure to become prime targets during the upcoming presidential election, making this an ideal time to start on the beat.

This is a premier beat, covering a company of exceptional importance on Wall Street and to readers of the Journal.

As such, we're looking for a reporter who has a track record of dominating competitive coverage. Finance experience isn't required, but we're looking for a quick study who's interested in the subject.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with breaking news and enterprise and has a history of successfully collaborating with other reporters. We're also looking for someone who's excited about exploring new and emerging storytelling formats.
