Content Writer & Researcher - Diary Team

We have an immediate opening for a Diary team content writer and researcher with experience in an office environment, proven research skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and a keen eye for detail to work on our Diary team.

A journalism qualification, demonstrable writing experience and any contacts within the arts, showbiz and media sectors would be an advantage in this role, as would any sub-editing or proofing experience.

Reporting into our Editor, you will be part of a small team responsible for sourcing and updating upcoming events including premieres, parties, award ceremonies, launches, gigs and celebrity visits, for our industry audience.

The role entails liaising with PR consultancies, event organisers, agents, record labels, managers, distributors, publishers, charities and galleries, and using the internet, telephone, social media and email to research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for several subject areas, and will develop and source relevant content, working to targets and deadlines.

The company is fast-paced and deadline driven and candidates must possess genuine enthusiasm for the entertainment and arts sectors; a keen eye for detail and thirst for knowledge; a confident telephone manner; research experience and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.

Familiarity with social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc), enthusiasm, the ability to write lively copy for an industry audience, and a keen interest in celebrity influencers and entertainment (music, TV, fashion, film, theatre etc) are essential in this role.

Please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you are perfect for this role by completing the application form below.

Deadline: 9 April 2019.

Please note: only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
