Good Housekeeping is searching for a trained Cookery Assistant.

The ideal candidate should have recognised cookery qualifications and experience in accurately following recipes.

Each month, the GH Food Team produce newly created recipes, which are triple-tested in the GHI kitchens and subsequently styled and photographed.

It is this unique and original content that not only fills the food pages in the print magazine, but also feeds the digital archives, standalones, supplements, cookery books and provides content for other Hearst brands. 

THE ROLE

The Cookery Assistant is a busy hands-on role, so if you have cookery training, love testing recipes and have strong organisation skills, please click 'Apply' to send in your CV and a covering letter.

The ideal candidate:

  • Recognised cookery qualifications 
  • Genuine interest in publishing
  • Ability to identify key cookery trends and to monitor competition to stay ahead in the market
  • Must be a self-motivator, with strong food knowledge and a positive can-do attitude 
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a positive team-player 
  • Must be organised, capable, have good attention to detail and be able to take responsibility for the smooth running of the Cookery kitchens.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge and an interest in the GH market and audience
  • Advanced food hygiene certificate
  • Experience in dealing with food PR 
  • Ability to work with a Content Management System to service the Lifestyle Hub, including online, and other Hearst brands
