WSJ. Magazine is looking for an Associate Market Editor.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Edit contemporary, lingerie, hosiery, swim, eyewear and denim markets for both women and men for well and FOB fashion stories and covers
  • Act as credits editor - communicate with PR teams to gather all necessary fashion credit information. Maintain written consistency and style
  • Conceptualize and write all fashion captions
  • Attend market appointments and re-sees to see product for consideration in the magazine and to maintain relationships with PR representatives.
  • Attend New York Fashion Week shows and events for respective markets
  • Assist in conceptualizing and curating fashion and accessory trends each season by compiling trend boards
  • Act as magazine representative at industry events
  • Maintain relationships with fashion in-house and agency PR representatives
  • Work closely with web and social teams to highlight fashion coverage online
  • Provide guidance and organizational ideas to the fashion assistants
