Who We Are

Triangle News is a London-based national news agency providing agenda-setting stories to Britain’s largest media outlets. If you read newspapers, magazines, surf the web or share news online, the chances are you will have seen one of our stories. We believe content should be entertaining, informative, shareable and targeted to the modern, mobile-centric consumer.

We are independently-run and committed to making an impact on the world of journalism. You will be joining a small, friendly and ambitious team with a focus on delivering quality content.

The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced part or full-time features editor at Triangle News. We need someone ambitious, talented and who lives and breathes amazing real life stories.

You will play a significant part in the real life content being produced by the agency and will have a great opportunity to help grow a new team of feature writers.

The role will be centred around consistently sourcing and writing high quality real life features for women’s magazines such as Take A Break, That’s Life, Chat, Pick Me Up and Real People as well as national newspapers like The Mirror, The Sun and the Daily Mail.

You will be expected to manage the accounts of multiple publications as well as liaising with TV shows such as This Morning and Good Morning Britain.

Importantly this role is tailored to the candidate and can be either full-time or part-time, offering flexibility in working hours.

As part of a new and rapidly growing news agency there will be lots of opportunity to advance your career and, as we expand, we expect to take on additional staff within the real life team.

Occasional travel may be required as you go searching for exclusive content and assist with video shoots and production.

The Applicant

We are looking for an experienced features editor who can match our ambition and who is hungry to be part of a ground-breaking new independent agency.

You must have proven experience in sourcing quality real life content and a strong desire to find the best features possible. We expect you to be brimming with ideas for exceptional human interest stories.

It is essential that you have a good sense of what makes a quality real life story and are capable of spotting what would make a cracking exclusive for both national newspapers and women’s magazines.

You must also be confident interviewing people from all walks of life on some very sensitive topics.

You must have excellent contacts. Knowledge of video production and editing is preferable but not essential as you assist in the growth of our real life video content.

You must have a NCTJ journalism qualification or equivalent, as well as a sound knowledge of the Editors’ Code and IPSO. Shorthand and a full clean driving licence are essential.

This role is perfect for a proven real life journalist who is looking for their next challenge or an existing editor who requires more flexible working hours.

Apply by completing the application form below.
