Job Title: Deputy Beauty Editor - Style
Department: The Sunday Times

Key accountabilities:

  • A 360 role with the task of keeping Style Beauty alive seven days a week across all platforms.
  • To pitch daily current and newsworthy ideas that spark engagement for digital platforms
  • To be on top of beauty SEO searches, monitor digital content performance, produce content insights, and pitch additional ideas based on results
  • To report to and work closely with the Beauty Director to produce the beauty section
  • To pitch, write and commission brilliant beauty features when required and ensure all deadlines are met
  • To be up-to-date on all beauty launches and industry news with the ability to secure regular exclusives
  • To manage the beauty assistant and ensure all their deadlines are met
  • To liaise with the commercial department and attend commercial meetings when required
  • To regularly represent Style at press launches and trips
  • To maintain excellent relationships with UK and international PRs


What we’re looking for from you:

Key skills and experience:

  • At least three years of digital experience
  • Previous experience on a print or digital title
  • A huge passion for the beauty world with ongoing brilliant and original ideas
  • Close contacts within the beauty industry
  • The right attitude to be a Style brand ambassador
  • An ability to work under pressure, as well as plan and think strategically about print and digital
  • Highly organised and able to work as a team player in a fast-paced, changing environment
