Job Details

This Morning provides a broad mix of topical items, entertainment news and human interest stories. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen to join us as a News Producer.

This is a varied and busy role and you’ll oversee and plan bookings of top news guests and come up with great ideas for news / topical based items which will help us shape original programme items.

You’ll develop strong relationships with journalists, news paper editors, ITN and other news resources to maintain the highest standards on the show and to ensure we secure exclusive interviews and guests.

You will be a real team player helping other members of the team to set the news agenda for the show. You’ll also be able to work effectively and collaboratively with our day teams, website and promo departments.

You will be passionate about television and have good knowledge of news / current affairs and the issues that matter to our viewers. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and will not be fazed by competing demands on your time.

Ideally you will have a journalistic background and experience of working in a live broadcast environment. You must have a flexible approach to work as you will be working to a shift pattern which will include weekends and bank holidays.

If you thrive on the buzz of working on a live network programme and if you think your ideas and enthusiasm will keep our audience entertained and informed then we’d love to hear from you.

Closing Date for applications: Friday 19 April.
