Editorial/Scientific Director - Medical Education

A well-respected global communications agency is recruiting for an Editorial/Scientific Director position within its Medical Education team in London. This is a key role within the team, with responsibility for a number of projects and leading and supporting the editorial team.

You will be the scientific lead for assigned medical writing/medical education projects, responsible for ensuring quality and accuracy and that the work is delivered on time and on brief. You will provide editorial counsel and guidance to the team and you will undertake line management responsibilities. You will take the lead on commercial/scientific strategy and client counsel and you will provide scientific input as required on new business opportunities. You will also have responsibility for resourcing both permanent team members and freelancers.

To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:

*Significant senior editorial experience gained from working in a medical education or medical communications agency
*Oncology experience
*Team management experience
*Excellent project management skills
*Meticulous attention to detail
*Sound commercial acumen
