Mollie Makes is looking for a talented, highly motivated Commissioning Editor with a passion for all things handmade.

The market-leading contemporary craft and lifestyle magazine, Mollie Makes is a key part of Immediate Media’s Lifestyle portfolio, and this role is integral to shaping the look and feel of the magazine.

As Commissioning Editor, you’ll actively contribute to the creative direction of the magazine. Reporting to the Editor, you’ll be responsible for commissioning projects, cover gifts and supplements, as well as compiling and writing the magazine’s news pages. 

You’ll be passionate about discovering new designer-makers, and will have excellent commissioning and communication skills to inspire and guide our contributors.

Bursting with ideas for original projects, your commissions will be influenced by a thorough knowledge of the latest craft, fashion and lifestyle trends, as well as a clear understanding of the Mollie reader.

You’ll also have strong writing skills, and the ability to ensure all content is appropriate to the magazine’s tone and style.
