Job Details

Good Morning Britain is looking for an experienced Reporter / Producer to join the Bafta-nominated team at Britain’s most talked about breakfast programme.

As a journalist and reporter you will play a key role in putting together the show, coming up with story ideas, guest suggestions and creative treatments for broadcast each morning.

You will write scripts, edit packages and shoot interviews; deftly handling stories across the news agenda from Brexit and knife crime, to GoT and Britney Spears.

We expect you will have high quality news judgment with a solid background in journalism and extensive experience of working within a television newsroom.

You will have a track record of producing creative, original TV packages and live reports; consistently delivering to the highest possible production values with accuracy and fairness.

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to write engaging scripts and storyboards for serious news items and upbeat features. You will enjoy working as part of a team, be calm under pressure and have a willingness to adapt to last minute changes and breaking stories.

There will be opportunity to cover our correspondents on occasion, so you will be a confident live performer and experienced in the field. An ability to shoot and edit your own material will be highly advantageous.

Good Morning Britain is on air five days a week, including bank holidays. You will be required to work shifts including overnights and some Sundays.

So, if you thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same and you possess the journalistic skills that will help us achieve our goals, then we’d love to hear from you.
