Sports Homepage Editor required for a leading sports network based in London.

One of the biggest names in the sports industry is looking for 3 talented freelancers to ensure the homepage is updated on trending sports news stories.

You will be covering sports such as football, tennis, snooker and cycling, as well as covering big sporting events. Working in their new offices, you will be part of a passionate and eager team of professionals driving sports content to their audience.

This is an ongoing freelance opportunity covering evening shifts (3pm – 11pm).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Strong editorial knowledge in a variety of sports
• Experience working in a newsroom environment
• Demonstrated ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Keen interest in the sports space with strong market knowledge
• Quick learner with initiative and ability to adopt the brands TOV

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Sports Homepage Editor, you will be required to update and edit sports news stories on the website’s homepage between the hours of 3pm and 11pm.

You will use a bespoke CRM system (full training provided) in order to curate content from within their network to update the homepage on trending sports news stories.

Additionally, you are tasked with ensuring the homepage is as engaging as possible for the target audience, demonstrating a keen eye for layout and story selection.
