Farmers Weekly, Britain’s leading information provider to farmers and all involved in agriculture and rural business is seeking to appoint a reporter to work within our Business team.
We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively and easily through online media, as well as the printed word.

Farmers Weekly is looking for a business reporter. This is a challenging role in a busy team of three, reporting on all areas affecting farm business decisions.
These range from commodity and livestock markets to cost structures, tax, legal matters and the impact of policy changes on farm business performance.
Comfortable dealing with people at all levels, the business reporter will be able to generate story and feature ideas and write clearly and concisely under time constraint for print and web.
Essential requirements include an interest in farm business management, an inquisitive nature and an analytical approach, alongside excellent interpersonal skills.
Agricultural knowledge and/or journalism experience are preferred. Applicants need to be well-organised, self-motivated and able to develop contacts across a wide range of roles and markets.
An interest in and an aptitude for social media and video are also key requirements.
The role is based in our Sutton, Surrey head office and involves UK and occasional international travel.
