The Register, Reporter - Data Centres
The Register, one of the world’s largest technology and science online news publications, is on the hunt for an ambitious and energetic journalist to join our expanding office in central London.
The successful candidate will have at least two years experience, and preferably have a track record of breaking exclusive news stories, generated via a community of industry contacts, and be able to analyse events to provide context and commentary.
A thorough understanding of technology is a must, as is an ability to hit tight deadlines, an enviable book of relevant industry contacts and a thirst to find original stories.
The role will centre on reporting about the on-premise infrastructure, this includes data centres: server, networking, storage and related software.
Desired skills and experience:
- Good writing ability
- Experience of working in a news team covering technology
- Numerically and technologically literate
- History of covering a specific beat in the industry
- A strong book of contacts
