Immediate need for a corporate / b2b PR Account Director who can head up the events team of this fast-growing campaigning and issues focused PR agency. This could be a contract or temp to perm opportunity for the right person. You will be fully responsible for developing the strategy of all events and new business streams, further building the team, drafting and managing business proposals and budgets.

In return you will join an agency that is having a disruptive influence and headline grabbing impact in the PR industry. You will work with some of the brightest minds in PR, in a motivated and talented environment with great rewards (including bonus, new bus commission and early finishes on Fridays).

The Role

  • Lead the agency’s events capabilities working alongside the PR teams
  • Manage existing team
  • Develop new business proposals and upsell to existing clients
  • Maintain client communication
  • Event execution including of conferences, debates, briefings, round tables and launches for both clients and in house events.
  • Supplier management and event planning including venues and external contractors
  • Oversee logistics of events including speaker liaison and briefing

Candidate specification

  • Experienced event manager within the PR/Comms environment or agency
  • Highly organised and unflappable
  • Multi-project management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and processed driven
  • An interest in working in a PR environment with clients across business sectors including enterprise, SME, tech, corporate sectors
  • Empathetic with an ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Interest in attending networking events, seminars or conferences to develop personal

and professional skills

  • A confident team player who can lead contributions in both client and internal meetings
  • Strong attention to detail and processed driven
  • Existing network of events and supplier contacts
