The Community Team work to drive user debate and interaction across mirror.co.uk.

Team members work with the wider newsroom to create an engaging and productive commenting community. They are key to implementing Mirror Online's community guidelines, vetting content accordingly and interacting with our readers.

In addition, they will work with our social teams to maximise opportunities presented by Community contributions and champion our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and moderate comments written on mirror.co.uk
  • Complaint resolution and dealing with customer queries
  • Liaise with other departments to maximise on opportunities in relation to the commenting and moderation strategy
  • Create an engaging and productive commenting community on mirror.co.uk
  • Referring newsworthy content to relevant Editorial teams


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience of working in community management is desirable
  • Must have good web and social skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable interest in current affairs, showbiz and sports
  • An eye for good content that will resonate with our audience


This job involves shift work, including evenings and weekends. Hours will vary and candidates must be flexible. The role is based at our offices in Canary Wharf and requires the candidate to be office based.
