What is a Returnship?

A Returnship is an opportunity for professionals who have not been in the workforce for at least two years due to child-care, family care, and other life events, to transition back into a professional setting.

Participants of the Returnship will go through a 3 month paid program to gain experience back in the workforce. The Returnship program will run from September 24th, 2019 to December 13th, 2019.

Who Is Eligible?

This program would be open to anyone who has been out of the workforce for two or more years and are ready to return.

This includes:

  • Parents returning to workforce
  • Long term caregivers for sick or elderly family who are returning to work
  • Military/Veterans
  • Disabled
  • Long term unemployed


The Role:

This position is a unique opportunity for a talented and motivated candidate to work closely with the WSJ Membership Team.

Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and self-motivated. You should have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to handle confidential information.

You should be a creative problem solver, extremely well-organized, take ownership of the tasks at hand, calm under pressure, and capable of multi-tasking. You will also be someone who enjoys being a team player, and can handle many different types of people with tact and courtesy.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling, correspondence, travel planning, ordering catered lunches, running errands and organizing work flow throughout the office.


Requirements:

  • You've got a college degree. (preferred)
  • Marketing Background. (preferred)
  • You are a strategic thinker.
  • Must be comfortable and confident to advise Executive leadership team.
  • You've got a positive, problem solving attitude.
  • You're a team-player with an out-sized sense of fun.
  • You've successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Office.
