About You 

  • You will have perfect attention to creative detail and a sense of pride and ownership over quality.
  • The successor of this role will have the ability to demonstrate clear understanding of brand identity ideally within the luxury market.
  • You’ll have experience using Adobe Creative Suite to design magazine pages for the luxury fashion and lifestyle industry.
  • A background on an editorial art desk in either customer or news stand magazines and publications is essential.
  • You will have a strong understanding of the publishing industry and its production processes, with an ability to create engaging and innovative editorial layouts.
  • Along with experience in print design, some experience in digital design would be beneficial.
  • Focussing on digital creative content; including e-vites and e-catalogues to ensure they are optimised for eCommerce, designing affiliated banners and social media posts.
  • An ability to deliver exceptional content to strict deadlines within a fast-paced retail environment essential as is a proficiency in Abode Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.


What to Expect 

  • As part of this dynamic art team you’ll play a key role in conceiving creative concepts and design projects for both print and digital channels.  
  • You will support the Lead Art Editor and Head of Creative in designing the magazine editorial pages and marketing materials for all Harrods magazines and supplements.
  • You will be the sole designer producing the Harrods annual sale catalogues and monthly Harrods store guide.
  • You will also be responsible for art administrative tasks and requests set by the Art Editors and/or Head of Creative.
  • A key part of this role is seeing the magazine process from design to print - delivering high quality design and assisting at the repro and post production stage, working closely with production.
  • The digital design responsibilities will include designing emails to ensure they are optimised for eCommerce, designing affiliated banners and social media posts and stories across fashion, lifestyle and beauty.
  • You must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite indesign, illustrator and photoshop and experience using After effects would be highly beneficial.
