MarketWatch seeks a reporter to cover the health care sector, including pharmaceutical and biotech, medical technology and health insurance companies.

The reporter will seek to explain to an audience of professional and retail investors/ consumers how companies are dealing with changes in policy and hardening public attitudes to such issues as rising drug prices and the higher cost of coverage.

The right candidate will have an interest in the latest research into major diseases and the new therapies and technologies being developed.

They will have a passion for digging into financials, including earnings releases and regulatory filings, to find the companies expected to lead in their sector in the coming years.

This reporter will also have to They will have a clear writing style that allows them to explain the intricacies of the U.S. health care system and the companies that serve it.

This reporter should have at least five years of experience, ideally with a background covering business and financial news. The position is based in New York.
