Job Details

Are you an experienced manager with a background in merchandising or pricing? Our client has a fantastic new position within their Marketing team in Oxfordshire. This role will be responsible for managing a newly-created team of pricing and e-commerce specialists and will create and drive the pricing strategy forward within a large, global academic publisher. This is a fantastic senior opportunity to bring strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management and analytical skills to a new team.

Key duties:

  • Lead optimization of existing pricing structures to drive the Marketing department KPIs
  • Oversee the Ecommerce trading and merchandising functions, managing a team of 3
  • Oversee the marketing activity for Amazon optimisation
  • Develop and market opportunities in online reseller channels
  • Create and execute new pricing tools/strategies to increase customer conversion, retention & direct revenue
  • Become an expert and the point of contact with respect to pricing for the entire division

Experience / skills required:

  • A proven track record of designing and delivering major strategic change
  • Substantial (and demonstrable) managerial experience
  • Results driven with sound commercial judgement and financial acumen
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to interpret, extrapolate and communicate data from multiple sources
  • Previous team management experience
