Pageant Media are currently recruiting a talented journalist to oversee all content for our market leading insurance title, Captive Review.

The editor of Captive Review is responsible for the strategic direction of this established title with a global readership.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious journalist to broaden your responsibilities and work on new skills working on strategy and development.

The successful candidate will have to be comfortable working semi-autonomously and will report into the Chief Content Officer of Pageant Media.

Captive Review and captivereview.com are published with the concerns and interests of the risk management and captive insurance communities firmly in mind.

Captive Review has a readership of over 12,000, 60% of whom are captive owners.

The magazine and website are also widely used by captive management firms and the wider captive insurance service provider sector accessing articles on hot topics in: alternative risk transfer (ART) and captive insurance, including emerging captive risks and markets.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day running and editorial planning of the magazine and website
• Writing or commissioning articles on the most pressing issues surrounding captive insurance
• Strategic planning alongside other stakeholders of Captive Review
• Creating compelling reports and analysis based on in depth research
• Working with the events team to create dynamic and relevant event content
• Liaising with key figures in the industry, attending events and commissioning content on additional supplements

Requirements

• Superb writing ability, interviewing and editing skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Comfort working on multiple projects at once
• Solid editorial experience
• Occasional international travel for events and conferences
