Netmums, the UK’s leading parenting community, needs a super-talented news and social writer.

Do you live to write? Are you obsessed with all things news and social media? Can you spot a great Netmums-relevant story a mile off and know how to make it fly on every social platform?

Are you as comfortable manipulating images and scheduling content as you are crafting a must-click news story?

Then we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing Netmums' weekly output of news, social content, our daily newsletter and associated imagery.
  • Managing the scheduling and analytics of our social media channels and newsletter.
  • Hitting key traffic goals for our social media channels and daily newsletter.


Skills / experience required:

  • This is the ideal second job for someone who has news writing experience and loves all things social media.
  • Ability to create must-read content on brief and to deadline.
  • Ability to create must-click commercial content.
  • Proficient in image research/Photoshop Elements.
  • Basic video creation and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling (Sprout) and analytics.
  • Proficiency in using: various CMSs, Google Analytics, Excel/Sheets, Tailwind and other social media tools.
  • Proactive approach, excellent communication skills and attention to detail a must.
