Account Manager - Automotive PR

About The Account Manager Role

As an Account Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to show of your creativity and leadership skills in an award-winning PR agency as well as being the 1st point of contact for a global automotive brand. You will be fully supported by an Account Director and a junior team working predominantly in the consumer sector with B2B elements.

Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager:

• Act as the key point of contact for the main automotive brand; you will be an extension of the brand's in-house PR team and be on secondment a few days a week at their HQ
• Lead creative input to brand's PR team as well as their campaigns (with support from the account director)
• Develop excellent client relationships and be the main "go to" person for clients
• Proactively seek out media opportunities and research market insights
• Draft and oversee team production of copy, press releases, campaign and media materials and drive the development of creative ideas and content
• Support the AD with strategy and media distribution plans

About You

Essential Skills of the Account Manager:

• 3+ years PR experience with a strong interest in cars and the world of automotive
• Competent writer who can create focussed copy tailored to specific audiences or platforms
• Experience managing junior staff
• Ideally have experience in the automotive industry (in-house or agency)
