Are you looking to manage a global team producing benchmark prices and agenda-setting news? Are you an experienced price/commodities Editor and an inspiring line-manager? This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful price reporting agency in central London. Working in a fast-paced environment and reporting to the Editorial Director, this Global Editor position would suit a confident presenter with strong coaching skills. Please note that this is for a 12-month contract initially as a result of a secondment.

Key duties:

  • Lead a team of around 18 staff including section/managing editors and reporters across global locations
  • Produce, manage and prioritise a pipeline of prices to increase usage
  • Create and implement editorial strategy to drive industry awareness through content and market engagement
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand, hosting and presenting at industry events
  • Produce content including opinion pieces, white papers and in-depth articles to showcase expertise
  • Nurture talent pipeline including appraisal, career development, KPIs, mentoring, etc.
  • Initiate and run global training programs for reporters
  • Facilitate cooperation with other departments and global team

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience in pricing with proven line-management experience
  • Background in launching, developing and promoting prices
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and retain talent
  • Confident presentation and networking skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • A creative and approachable problem solver, promoting a positive working atmosphere brimming with ideas
